Atlas Hotels Case Study
For more than 10 years Somerston Hotels operated a portfolio of more than 40 hotels in prominent locations across the UK. After opening their first hotel in Warwick, they quickly expanded into other major towns and cities and became the largest franchisee of the Holiday Inn Express brand in the UK by delivering a quality, customer focused service. In February 2015, Somerston Hotels changed it’s company name to Atlas Hotels. Still operating under the same management team, Atlas Hotels continues to grow its portfolio and LaddersFree are pleased to have been able to service and support them over the last 10 years.
Before LaddersFree Started
Previous to Atlas opting for the LaddersFree solution, each Hotel was responsible for sourcing its own window cleaner. There were concerns about health and safety compliance and questions were asked whether operatives had adequate insurance for the work they were carrying out.
Because many of the hotels were using small independent window cleaning companies, many could not meet the required standards nor provide the relevant documentation.
Along with the inconsistency in the standard of service at a number of hotels and unnecessary administrative costs Atlas Hotels needed to find another solution.
In 2007 LaddersFree starting servicing all the Hotels within the Group and have provided a professional and reliable service every since.
The LaddersFree Solution
Our unique concept. Uniting a national workforce of window cleaners that use water fed pole technology alongside our traditional window cleaning teams enables us to provide a service to all 47 Hotels within the Somerston Group.
RAMS. Where requested LaddersFree have provided site specific risk assessments and method statements. All the hotels receive our generic method statements and risk assessments and a copy of our health and safety manual.
Accountable Quality Control. Regular Courtesy Calls and audits are carried out to ensure all hotels are happy with the service they are receiving.
Health and Safety Compliance. With the responsibility on Hotel General Managers to ensure their window cleaners provide a safe service and in compliance with Work at Height legislation, it is reassuring for them to know that by using LaddersFree they are using a company that take the safety of their staff, the hotel’s staff and the hotels customers seriously. This is demonstrated with our safe contractor and CHAS Accreditations.
